Fair Turns

Rotation planner for volunteer coaches

Everyone plays.
Everyone gets a turn.

Type the jersey numbers, pick the sport, and Fair Turns builds the substitution plan: equal turns to within one, nobody sits while a teammate who has played more stays on, spots rotated. Print it or run it from your phone on the sideline.

Fair check: every number plays 5 or 6 of 8 turns. Built by the same engine you use.

Equal turns, within one

After every change, nobody has played more than one turn more than anyone else, unless locked spots force otherwise (the plan says so when they do). When the maths cannot be exact, the extra turns are shared out, not handed to the same kids every week.

Sits spread out

Whoever sat comes back first. No player waits on the bench while a teammate who has played more stays on.

Spots that rotate

Soccer lines, baseball fielding spots, hockey forwards and defence: everyone gets a go at different spots, and you can lock keeper, pitcher or catcher to the numbers you choose.

Three steps, about a minute

  1. 1

    Numbers, not names

List the jersey numbers playing today, or just "12 players". Fair Turns never asks for a name, birthday, photo or place, so there is nothing about your players to lose.

  2. 2

Say how the game is split

Quarters, halves, innings, sets or periods, and how many changes in each. The plan works for any length up to 24 turns.

  3. 3

    Coach it

Sideline mode shows one big card per turn: who goes on, where, who sits, who is next. Or print the card and write the names in by hand.

Bench Book

Fair over a whole season, not just one game

Keep the team's numbers and every game you save in a private-link Bench Book. When a game cannot split evenly, the extra turns go to whoever has had the fewest turns per game so far. Mark who is away and plan the next one in seconds.

No account and no email: the book opens from a private link you keep. Free holds 3 games; the Turn Pass holds 60.
